"God? If you are there, please hook me up!"
"God? If you are there, please hook me up!" This is just one of the many terrible and cliche' lines from the movie The Next Best Thing. It was on Showtime a couple of nights ago after I finished watching the Real World so I thought I would give it a whirl. I like to see movies just to see them, so that I'm able to discuss it later on. The only good thing about it was how Rupert looked with his shirt off. It was garbage though, Madonna probably wrote it herself just to have a movie to be in and be able to make out with Rupert Everret. She looked so freakin old!
Moving on. Guess what concert I went to Sunday... you won't believe it... give up? O-TOWN! Not even kidding you. Becca's Uncle works for WLIR and got us in free if we ushered the thing, so I said I would go with her. They had four opening acts, and for the life of me I don't know why. Perhaps it is because twelve year olds have really short attention spans? Or the boys were still trying to get the harmonies right back stage, who knows. Before hand we heard them practicing and saw the new one, Dan, attempting to get his dance moves right and falling a couple of times. humourous. Anyway, it was cute seeing the little girls get excited about the band. I felt like I was babysitting them. The oddest thing about the concert was that before the boys came on they played the entire new U2 album. It was the most enjoyable part.
