Three Down, Zero to Go

Oh SXSW. What a week. It was equal parts awesome and suck. It was great, it was bad, it was happy, it was sad. But now it's only one thing: over.

On a professional level, couldn't have asked for a better outcome. Every show was absolutely stellar. On a personal level- oh dear god. I'm getting over it though, margaritas out tonight with my lovely Stephanie up from DC should help. And if it doesn't, well at least I'll be drunk.

Below is part of my recap post from the ATJ site with some pictures from some of the shows. I'm sure I'll be getting more over the next week, in fact, going to pick up some from Kramer tonight. For now, check out the below:

Bits and Bobs

You know what is awesome and weird? Me having my own little video upload page on NME.com. I guess they just combed through youtube and picked music things and my last name as a tag went with the videos but still, kinda of awesome.

After the Jump is headed to SXSW this year. Which seems like such a silly thing to say now, a week before, when it's been consuming my life for the past two months. We have four shows going on including an official showcase SXSW has given us. Unfortunately for me, three of the shows take place on the same day, Saturday. I'm staying with Alex, my cousin at UT, along with two of my dear NYC friends, Matt and Katie. Most of the people I know in NYC are going so I am expecting it to be like Indie Spring Break.

Here are some posters:

I suppose the other bit of news I have yet to report on is my three week jaunt around the British Isles to see Crawford get married and visit my aunt. I'll put some more pictures up from that one day and tell you all about it. It was a wonderful and eye opening trip. Here's a ridiculous picture from the wedding to tide you over:

And just so you don't think I spent the entire wedding looking like a school girl in her party dress, here is another (I caught the bouquet):
